Author Spotlight: Deanna Alexander
New to the author side of books, Deanna is putting her heart, sweat, and salty tears into her first romance novel. Born in 1980 something, Deanna grew up in a small midwestern town with her younger brother, mom and dad. Enjoying friends and bicycles over books, Deanna didn't discover her love for reading until her mid twenties when life decided to slap her down. Infertility was a nightmare no one should face, but Deanna found an escape through books. After reading hundreds of them, she wondered if she had what it took to write and take others away. After years of reading and infertility, her miracle baby was born. Shortly after, she gathered enough courage and realized she did have what it took. Deanna began her new journey as an author. Utilizing Wattpad to engage with readers, Deanna has earned over one-thousand reads on her current work in progress. Currently, Deanna houses this novel, Recovering Red, and a short story based off of her favorite book, This Man on the site. Deanna spends her free time writing and with her two children, aged nine and one, and her husband, who she has been with for eleven years. She currently plans to release her full romance novel by years end of 2017. Until its release, Deanna continues to perfect her writing through contests, short stories, and learning from those who live the author life.
